Do I need to worry? ?

On Thursday of last week, after school, this kid from my school unexpectedly gave me a turning kick that landed on my right side, below the ribcage. That is where the liver is supposed to be. Could he have damaged my liver? The whites of my eyes have not turned yellow with bile. However, today after school another kid punched me in the stomach about the same area and that area inside has been feeling a little sore for me, it also feels sore whenever I laugh. If I go visit a doctor, what will he do - surgery or tell me to let it heal by itself for a few days? Thanks
