Comparing Two Michael Myers characters...?

I totally agree with the point you're making. I have only seen Zombie's Halloween twice, and both times it wasn't on the best TV, (Still waiting for a decent dvd of it), so i feel that i don't have the right at the moment to comment on which i felt was the better film, as i didn't get the full experience with Zombie's version. However, i still did pick up on Michael Myers and the point you made. With what i have managed to work out so far, i do enjoy Zombie's version of Michael Myers. To me, he does feel more human. Like you mentioned, Myers in the original film was not really that lifelike. He look exactly the same throughout the whole film (with the exception to when his mask was removed). Nice hair, nice clothes (kinda) and a nice mask. As well as the backstory to his childhood in the new film which helped make him more human, i did enjoy the battered look he had. It did come across more effective to me that there was actually a real man under it.

Question about ACL and Meniscus Tear?

I recently found out that I completely tore my ACL and partially tore my meniscus in my right knee after a sports accident last week. My doctor suggests that I start physical therapy right away, which I plan on doing, but about how long do I have to wait to get the surgery. I am at college right now and was wondering if I could possibly wait 2 1/2 months until december to get it done. Also, about long does it take to recover from this. I heard from as little as 2 months to 9 months but i am not sure which one is accurate.

How is it that pistol rounds are bigger than automatic rifle rounds?

The stopping power part all depends on the round used. .223/5.56 NATO has very little stopping power since the round is so light that it gets deflected easily. It also puts a very small hole in the target. The actual diameter of the round is about the same as a .22 long rifle. Now, 9mm is not a very good round to be putting up for pistol stopping power either. The round is pretty small for close range work, whereas a .45ACP round will put someone down quickly. Most people don't get right back up after taking a .45 round to the chest. Some people can take several 9mm rounds before dying. If a crazy person on PCP is running at me, one (or two) good .45 shot(s) will bring them down pretty easily. The same cannot be said for 9mm, but it is possible, no doubts there. I would trust my life in the hands of any good .45ACP pistol over a 9mm any day.

Can't see Mugabe officially adopting an 'imperialist' currency - the soldiers are getting $US to keep them loyal. Nothing will change for the better in Zimbabwe until Mugabe dies or is removed by force. Anyway, $US isn't really strong/stable enough anymore - makes more sense to adopt the Euro if you're looking around for a new currency. However, this would be even more unlikely in Mugabe's Zimbabwe;as the Euro is a European currency, it's obviously racist and colonialist.

Everyone needs to be motivated to study properly. If you work hard but have something to look forward to as well then you are more likely to learn better. So I think as long as you keep to what you say and work really hard in the week and on Saturday then it would be good for you to then go out and have some fun! Alternatively if you are still doubting it then you could always arrange to meet up after your exams somewhere with these friends?

Make sure you use spellcheck and have someone look over your papers before you turn them in. One of the ways to improve spelling is to read as much as you can. You can often remember words if you read them over and over. The speech is something different. Perhaps you have a bit of a nervous stammer. If you have to read out loud maybe you can ask for your section in advance so you can practice it.

I have recently had a very close family member tell me that they do not like who I have become and that I am a selfish, self-absorbed, self-centered person and my life revolves around myself and no one else. And after alot of thought on this, the conclusion that I have come down to is that I have many activities that I am involved in ,and I am a person that strives to be successful. So I am constantly trying to figure out ways of how to do things better, and how to become better at what I am involved in. As well as how to learn new things, and increase the talents that I am able to do. This is my life, so it's all that I know TO be. When I talk to people, I admit that I enjoy telling them things that I know how to do, and that I have accomplished, and if they ask more detail about it, I will glady inform. I have never seen this as being self absorbed, just proud of the accomplishments that I have made and the talents I am blessed with to do this. For some reason I'm having trouble getting into this anime. Keep in mind that I'm coming off of watching Evangelin (series, movie, remake) Code Ge, Death Note and FMA. For some reason I felt that I had a better understanding of Eva by episode 12 (yes, I know it's only 25 eps and Eureka 7 is 50). It just seems like the world is unexplained. I'm not sure if this is because I missed something (I tend to watch around 4:20 if you get my drift ;) ) or if I'm not far enough into the series. For instance, I have little idea behind the motivations of the Gekko state, beyond redeeming themselves for the atrocities they committed in war. I must have missed the part where the carillons are introduced, or have not made it to that plot development point. I'm just not understanding what is going on up to this point, I don't see the conflict or purpose which drives this anime. Please let me know if I missed something or if I will begin to find any semblance of a story in my future beyond naive puppy love. If it turns out I did miss something, please reference the ep so I can go back and see if I missed anything. Thanks!

However if you're bend on a Squire, I'd go with the Jazz B, hands down no questions asked. You are given two pickups so you can alter your sound and also the neck is easier to play with so I hear.

Song writing question?

I'm 15 years old (male). I love to play piano and sing, but I want to start writing. I have tried time and time again, but I'm not really liking what I write. I can get inspired by my favorite bands/musicians (the fray, coldplay, sara bareilles, james morrison) but I cannot write lyrics without sounding somewhat alike to the music that I admire. Every time I write a nice piano riff or some good sounding lyrics, they sound like that of something that has already been played on the radio. I want to change that, but how can I approach that? I also want to start writing lyrics, but every time I write them they sound very boring and childish, which I am still very young, but I would like to come off as more poetic in a song with more meaning, but it seems so impossible. Why do my compact fluorescent burn out within hours of installation?

Make sure the voltage and amperage coming to the light fixtures are proper for that type of light, and make sure it is steady. Voltage or amperage that varies is a killer for florescent light bulbs. Mine were doing something similar, but they would last a couple of months (when they should last years). Found out it was the current coming to the fixture was spiking frequently, which shortens the life of the bulb. It does it to regular bulbs to, but less so you don't notice it as much. Old light bulbs are pretty tough, though inefficient. Have and electrician come out and put a meter on the fixtures to see if the current is varying (this will take quite some time, not like a quick 30 second test to check continuity, which is probably what was done before)

Is it okay for my new dog to share a bed with me?

I've been told that you shouldn't let your dog in the bed with you because they will think they are the boss of you rather than vice versa. I think it depends on the dog. If you have a dominant dog, I probably wouldn't do it. Our dog is sort of a chicken, so we let him sleep with us on the weekends. He loves it, but now thinks it's his bed. I don't mind, whatever I have he can have. He will sleep in his bed without complaining if I want him to do so. If your dog growled at strangers..hmm. Did she back up as she growled or was she lunging forward. Backing up just shows fear, lunging is aggression. Even if she is being aggressive it's best to stop it now, just say NO when she does it. Praise her like crazy when she doesn't do it. She'll get the idea. Food is a great reward for your dog when trying to teach them new things. Be sure to wear hats, sungles, blow whistles, etc. when she is little so she won't be scared when she's an adult. Rubbing her belly and touching her ears, paws etc is a really good idea too. My dog has not become aggressive since sleeping with us, but he does think he's the boss sometimes. He's a Boston Terrier so that's to be expected. Best dogs ever.

I know you receive about six shots in the arm when you go to basic training. What I wanted to know was whether you get a shot in the . Three years ago, this kid came back from high school and said he received a shot in the but my friend that is in the National Guard and is in infantry said that he didn't. I'm confused. An Army Reserve recruiter told me they don't but have they changed since then? or is this something a recruiter tells you to get you to join? I know this is what they did back then but I'm not sure whether they changed it now or are you exempt from it due to medical reasons. I'm still interested in joining the Guard but I was curious. A juvenile wild dove flew into my window & hurt her wing. What should I do?

I've tried every way I can think of to supress or make my cough leave quickly. I've gargled salt water, and ate 50 grams of dark chocolate (Lindt's 85% Cocoa) but, they've only relieve my coughing a bit, but it hurts even more now that I don't gargle salt water regularly, I don't want to use Robitussin because those medicines have never worked for me in my whole life of coughing, and medicine barely responds to my body's problem because it doesn't always travel through my bloodstream.

What does downloading a game to my Xbox 360 HardDrive do?

So i have a slightly damaged MW2 disc (there is a perfect circle scratch on the disc) that works fine until I try to play a game. It loads the map and I choose my cl then it works for about 5 seconds then freezes and says the disc is unreadable. If i downloaded MW2 to my harddrive (like not bought it online, but just downloaded it from the disc) would that help? I know it makes the run time faster and reduces the amount that the disc spins. I have a 10 day old baby and I pump once a day so I have two bottles ready for night time feedings for dad. Android flashing rom went wrong?

Hi I decide to root my phone on Thursday, last night I tried to flash a ROM I had downloaded ROM manager and tried flashing that way but it just kept re-booting then would get an android with an exclamation mark and thats as far as it would go. So me being me I deided to select the option in ROM Manager to install from SD I managed to find the ROM pirate rum and went ahead to install it. All seemed to be going but then it went to a boot up screen that said pirate rum on it now its just stuck on that boot up screen I have left it alone all night just in case it was some sort of glitch? I can't really argue with your doc's advice since I'm not a doctor but as a second time mom I am much more relaxed this time around in knowing that my child will let me know when he's hungry. He eats about 4oz about every 3-4 hours, most times it's closer to the 4 hour mark now that he's 9 weeks old. However, since he was about 3 weeks old he sleeps roughly 6-8 hours through the night before waking to feed. I usually feed him his last bottle at 9pm and he wakes up anywhere from 4am-6am before wanting to feed again. What I've learned is that so long as they are gaining weight, they'll let you know when they're hungry. Don't overfeed! Also note that when babies belly's hurt they will tend to act hungry and take a bottle when in fact it just makes the situation worse. Only you can know as a parent what your babies clues are though.

Have you noticed how the new Airsoft BB guns have these totally awful red tips? It takes away the whole thing that made buying one of those worth it. I'm looking to find a good brand that makes MP5's and such that don't have the red tip. Why does my boss treat me differently now that I've met his wife?

I temp as a secretary and in the beginning he was very nice to me and showed me photos of his trips away and just generally made me feel at home in the office. He asked me to cover until his new permanent secretary started called Rosie*. It later transpired that this Rosie* was his wife and it is her who'll be taking over from me. Why does my hair keep getting tangled???

Being a hairstylist i've had problems with women coming in and their hair being very tangled up. make sure you go in to the salon to get your trims. getting all the dead ends off will definitley help. you could use a detangling spray or if you have medium to thick hair i would use a light detangling cream. apply it from midsection to your ends. i usually apply mine after i shower and i let it air dry. another thing you could try is, if your hair is medium to thick you could ask your stylist to get some of the bulk removed, this can be called texturizing or thinning out. good luck!!!

I just want to be one person all the time, feel comfortable with it, and know deep down that I'm being honest with myself. I am not very sure of myself in general, and people immediately sense it, and as a result, I usually don't get much respect from people.
