If you knew that someone you just met is an addict, but otherwise nice, polite,etc, would you have prejudice?

.Talking bout myself, really here. I'm on Methadone Maintainance Treatment for years, but (this might seem silly, but it's neccessary for you to know)I have all my teeth, I look?normally', I'm educated, blah, blah..oh, and healthy(otherwise), but I've noticed that ppl who first get 2 know me, and I later tell them, have no problem with it, and if ppl know but they don't know me, some wish 2 hang out w me and b friends, and some run like hell. Soooooo......honestly-do you believe me that addiction becomes a sickness as any other, with time, or do u think addicts should all b shot?(joking here a little, but just trying 2 make my point).Oh, and btw, since I'm from Croatia, we have a lot of ppl here on Methadone, because they all gut f..... up during the war.
