Anybody know why the new Airsoft pistols have those awful red tips? Where can I find a good Airsoft without it

Have you noticed how the new Airsoft BB guns have these totally awful red tips? It takes away the whole thing that made buying one of those worth it. I'm looking to find a good brand that makes MP5's and such that don't have the red tip. I know of this one Japanese brand that makes the G17 (Glock) without the red tip and it is of the same material on the outside as the real one I think... but I can't remember the brand name and I went into their site about six or eight months ago. Anyhow, if you might have any recommendations on to what brand is worth it, does not have the stupid red tip and by any chance know the Japanese brand I'm talking about I would be great to hear it.
