Will taking Foreign Languages cl in high school help me for a career I'm aspiring and how?

I'm planning to work for NASA as an electrical and aerospace engineer. A lot of people have told me to take Spanish because foreign language cles help me a lot, but I don't really know how the cl would help me in the future.
